Internet Stylist

Good morning everyone,

By now you've surely noticed the much improved weather. Summer is coming, and not a moment too soon.  Summer brings us a completely rejuvenated environment each year.

Not to be outdone by Mother Nature, Internet Stylist has also been busy renewing our infrastructure this year. Here are some of the highlights:

1) Speaking of the environment, we've now halved our server footprint, going from a full eight server complement to a mere four units. We intend to pass the savings in hydro on to our customers as well as reduce our carbon footprint.

2) Our storage infrastructure is nearly ready to qualify for production. We will more than quadruple our total amount of storage and improve our level of fault tolerance. Additionally, we will benefit from a much more flexible SAN environment versus the former DA-SCSI implementation. ZFS is a great thing! 3) Our virtualization infrastructure is more available and faster than ever. You benefit from the years of development VMware has put into their enterprise offerings.

4) Our data center's connectivity to the internet has never been better. The Internet Stylist team worked alongside one of Ontario's fastest ISPs to ensure your website is always online and ready to serve your customers. In the coming weeks we will continue to improve our level of redundancy and increase our connectivity rate. 5) We are planning to roll out our new Internet Stylist website and basic web hosting packages very soon. More details will be released closer to the launch date in a few weeks' time.
